The center circle represents the sun, the top four lines are the four seasons (Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall), to the right, the four lines represent the four stages of life (infancy, youth, adulthood, and old age), the four lines on the bottom represent the four directions, and the four lines to the left represent dawn, daylight, dusk, and dark.
